Two more dead by bullying

FoF, FRC, and NOM must be proud since they are the forces behind stopping anti-bullying laws aimed at protecting minors. They say that these laws promote the "gay agenda" to children. What they really want is for the right to torment and harass gay and social outcast children as much as they want. This way they can coerce children to follow their religious ideals of the "norm". It's working as bullying of gay teens has been on the rise. Now they have two more bodies to show for their efforts. Bigots must be proud.

Focus on the Family (aka Focus on the Patriarchy) is promoting an abstinence only policy in Yunnan, China. Why on earth would the government of Yunnan allow that? The abstinence only policy is failing in the United States, badly. It's failing in Africa, badly and resulting in STD being spread rapidly. I only hope that the students sees this for what it really is: an attempt at hegemony from American Evangelicals who cares nothing for the well being of other. If they truly cared, they'd promote safe sex. Safe sex is proven to reduce STD and unwanted pregnancy.

This whole abstinence only policy stems from heavy misogyny. How? Fundamental Christians believe the only use for sex is to make the woman pregnant. If some one is having safe sex, it means that they are having it to enjoy it. They cannot stand for that. They cannot stand the idea that a woman can enjoy sex, or take control of their own body. The loath at the fact that a woman can use their body for something other than child rearing.

I hope there is a day when the lies and evil of Focus on the Family is expose to the world. I certainly will do my best to do so.

Councilwoman Recieve Death Threats Over Equality

A Memphis Councilwoman has been threaten with death and a dead cat for supporting LGBT anti-discrimination laws:

"Police think the threats are serious enough have increased patrols around her home to keep her safe. Each phone call mentioned her support for banning discrimination against gays in city government. Distraught, Fullilove reached out to Jonathan Cole with the Tennessee Equality Project. 'She essentially said that they were threatening to kill her,' said Cole, who thinks the death threats are just another example of intolerance in Memphis. 'It's scary and our city needs to stand up to this kind of ugliness.' Police are keeping a close eye on Fullilove and her family. She's asked her telephone provider to track the calls. Meanwhile, Cole says the councilwoman's experience should highlight the need for the ordinance to protect gays and lesbians working for the city."

Fullilove says she will continue to push for passage of the anti-discrimination measure, which comes up for a vote on August 10.

The anti-gay side is always trying to say that we're the ones who are violent and evil and yet they do this. I guess the old axiom is true: You will know a Christian by there love. Looks like Christian love here involves killing a cat and throwing it on people's lawn.

A student at Augusta State University, Jennifer Keeton, claims that the school is forcing her to abandon her religious belief by accepting homosexuality. The school, of course, feels that her writing are inappropriate for a her degree to become a councilor. She's demanding the school bend to to her religious belief. Wouldn't that be great? If schools bended to the beliefs of it's student. It means I can become a mathematician and claim π = 3. Hey the Bible claim that it is and forcing me not to believe it is oppression. But the idiot isn't done with her little whine-fest:

The letter also cites an email from Keeton in which she says: "my Christian
moral views are not just about me. I think the Bible's teaching is true for all
people and it shows the right way to live."

Well that's just dandy. She "thinks"it's the right way to live. So lets get this straight, she suing to defend her first amendment rights to revoke the first amendment rights of others? That's what it boils down to. Keeton and her ilks are the type who wants freedom of religion to herself and end the freedom of religion of others. If you don't think so, see how they react when government tries to include other religions in their program; these idiots goes foaming mad if a Buddhist or Hindu tries to express their religion. Sorry Keeton, if you truly think the Bible is the right way to live than go back to the kitchen as you have no business in a learning institute (1 Timothy 2:12). And I hope you don't wear pants, either (Deuteronomy 22:5). I mean if you're going to use Leviticus, you'll have to use those too. Here's hoping that ASU wins against Keeton's stupidity.

Faith before Morals

If you all don't know, I'm a frequent commenter on Pharyngula, a blog headed by the self-proclaimed godless-liberal-biologist PZ. Now, I don't agree with PZ 100%. To be honest, there are times where I'm a tad bit accommodating. But I'm also not one for malicious slander. No sooner when PZ criticize missionary efforts in Haiti, an apologetic comes in spitting nonsense that this was somehow spewing hate. Professor Dendy of American River College in Sacramento, comes in a claims PZ is hate mongering. Why? Because PZ doesn't believe that giving electronic Bibles to Haitians is productive. So naturally, the commenters point out that he is utterly wrong, in which he claims persecution. He makes a dramatic exit and leaves us a link to his blog, claiming that the commenters a lying.
Well lets analyze the situation here. Dendy came in claiming PZ is spitting hateful venom, which is completely off topic and has no evidence to support. Commenters says WTF. He then claim that the death of the Haitians is God's plan and gives an anecdote about how he survived a life-threatening disease. Then he claims we're hatemongers (for which he only gives Raven, a ex-Christian, as an example). He leaves us with a link to his blog, but the blog doesn't link back to PZ. So he's lying, overacting, and dishonest. Lying because he made a false claim about hatemonger. Overacting because as soon as we criticize him, he claims persecution. Dishonest because he doesn't link back to the thread so that readers can see for themselves the actual occurrence.
People like Dendy scares me. Dendy is a professor, and is in a position of power to influence other. When such dishonest person has that power, they abuse it and distort the truth. I feel sorry for whatever student has him.

Father Forces "Gay" Son to Have Sex With a Prositute

trial for the rape of his son.
Fearing that his 14-year-old son is gay, a
Rockhampton man thought that sex with a woman would "straighten" him out.
According to the Rockhampton Morning Bulletin on Wednesday, the father
allegedly phoned a prostitute during a family barbecue around Christmas time in
2007 and arranged to meet her at a local motel.

son to the motel and waited outside the room after demanding to see a used
condom as proof that the boy and the prostitute had sex."

Oh great. Homophobia at work again, and this time it's goes all out. There is so many thing wrong with this. Firstly, the father is a negligent arsehole. He could have risked giving his son so many diseases. Secondly, straight sex cannot "cure" homosexual attraction. Which brings me to the next point that he should have no fear of teh gehs. They's people too, and often very good moral people. Than again, I forget that keeping the status quo is far more important than human life and dignity.
